MIS
All was working and there have been no change made to either the clients or the server.
The following is an extract from my log.nsf.
This is how I know there have been no changes made by other clients as I am having the same problem.
I have checked the local NAB connection and location documents and the server name is correct.
The server name hasn't been changed on the server.
I also checked the phone calls log and when replication was working the server being called was populated with the correct name and so was the server answering field.
But now only the server being called is populated with the correct name and there is nothing in the server answering field.
My users can get a modem connection, but unable to replicate.
Also tells users that there port is still in use.
I've dealt alot with modem access, but never seen this.
23/01/2004 14:03:40 COM3: Receive from Modem: OK
23/01/2004 14:03:40 COM3: Send to Modem: ATDT901595 748545, (57600 bits per second)
23/01/2004 14:03:58 COM3: Receive from Modem: CONNECT 33600 V42bis
23/01/2004 14:04:04 COM3: 33600 bits per second connection established
23/01/2004 14:04:04 Network: Local Error: The server that answered does not have the expected name
23/01/2004 14:04:04 COM3: Clearing modem's DTR
23/01/2004 14:04:05 COM3: Call has finished
23/01/2004 14:04:06 COM3: Send to Modem: +++ (57600 bits per second)
Hope someone out there has hints as my bosses are going to kick my butt if its not fixed asap.....
Regards
