Domino on Red Hat Linux 7

I'm trying to install the evaluation copy of Domino 5.0.9 Mail server on my Red Hat Linux server. I'm new to Domino and I'm unsure of one thing. After I install Domino, it doesn't create a cert.id, server.id, or the names.nfs files. When I try to start the server, I can't connect to it. Do I have to create these files manually and place them in the /local/notesdata directory?

I just want to add that after the installation, I get a screen immediatly after telling me that the Domino installation completed successfully. It says this in the windows...

The following IDs have been created and are located in: /var/notesdata
Server's ID: server.id
Certifier ID: cert.id

The problem is that they aren't there. Any ideas?

I fixed my own problem in case anyone is wondering. It was a simple DNS-related problem. There wasn't a name server for the domain that I wanted to set up, so I setup BIND and made the Linux server a primary name server for the domain that I wanted to host mail on.
