We are running Notes R5, and are constantly getting the LOG.NSF file corrupted, with the message: C:/Lotus/Domino/Data/Log.nsf is CORRUPT - Now Read Only! Cannot write to log file, database is corrupt - cannot allocate space: The only way around this is to copy the log.nsf at the operating system level, delete the original log.nsf and recopy the file back to log.nsf. This works for a time, but probably once or twice a week, the same thing happens.

Next time this happens, take the server down. Rename the file or move it out of the \domino\data path. Bring the server back up, and this recreates itself.

I suspect that by copying the old file, you're bringing over something that you probably don't want.

I've done more R5 deployments than I care to think about.
