We've installed a few virtual 2008 R2 boxes with Domino 853 running and data folder mapped to a netapp share.
One server run for a few weeks and suddenly stopped working, other took couple of days, test server survived one reboot.
Opened ticket with IBM. So far no fix. Hope the fix below works.
Error message: Error writing to process file pid.nbf, (other applications may be inappropriately accessing this file)
As soon as server is started.
This might be a solution as it's fixed the issue on the test server. Production servers might need to wait until a weekend.
It's basically UAC and network drive mappings. Aghrr Micro$oft.
1.Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press Enter.
2.Locate and then right-click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
3.Point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4.Type EnableLinkedConnections, and then press Enter.
5.Right-click EnableLinkedConnections, and then click Modify.
6.In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
7.Exit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.
Couldn't find nothing on a web so I thought I'd share
