We had an issue with an 8.0.1 server and have since changed to 8.0.2.

However, in the web access tab in the config document for the server on 8.0.1, there was a clear option for wether web access was enabled or disabled

however in 8.0.2 I cannot find such an option and we are without web mail...a feature which is used constantly by staff on the road.

I am at a loss as to where this option is in 8.0.2 - I would certainly appreciate it if someone could tell me what needs to be done to enable web access again

Many thanks

When you do a sh tasks on the console, is HTTP running? If not, can you load http and get it to run?

On the server doc's Ports tab/Internet Ports subtab, is port 80 enabled? Also check the notes.ini on the server and make sure HTTP is on the ServerTasks line.

Hi there. Many thanks for your reply - I think I am getting somewhere now. HTTP does not appear to be running:

> sh tasks

So then I tried:

> tell http start

failed with error:

The HTTP task either does not exist or does not accept "Tell" commands.

I can confirm that in ports/internet ports, port 80 is enabled, however there is no mention of HTTP in the server tasks in the ini file:

ServerTasks=RnRMgr,COLSRV400,Update,LDAP,AMgr,AdminP,CalConn,Replica,Router,Sched
ServerTasksAt1=Catalog,Design

So, what would you advise me to do next? You have been most helpful, thankyou.

The LOAD command might be "load nhttp" (I don't think it'd hurt to try that), but I've never been too sure about the load syntax.

Otherwise, look in the program directory for the Domino server (where the INI file is) and see if nhttp.exe is there. Looking for the executable will tell you if it was part of the 8.0.2 installation or got left out.

It's working now, thank you!

"load nhttp" didn't work, but "load http" did

Perhaps it was just a typo since n is right below h?!

Not to worry, it's back up now so that has been a real help. Thanks again.
