I have a weird issue that has turned up yesterday.

I have a windows 2000 AD domain, with about 150 windows 98 clients, some XP clients and 2000 clients connecting to it. Yesterday at about 10am, user accounts started to get locked out for no reason. To the tune of about 5 every 30 mins or so. There is no rhyme or reason as to which ones get locked out. We were able to duplicate the problem on an XP pro box. If I log on to the domain, and map a network drive, no problems. However if I log on locally to the computer, and then map a network drive using the userid and password on the domain, it instantly locks out the account. I spoke with Microsoft for 10 hours yesterday, and they are baffled. We did some debugs and this is what shows:

09/21 14:43:24 [LOGON] SamLogon: Network logon of DOMAIN\USERNAME from \\WORKSTATION Entered
09/21 14:43:24 [LOGON] SamLogon: Network logon of DOMAIN\USERNAME from \\WORKSTATION Returns 0xC000006A
09/21 14:43:24 [LOGON] SamLogon: Network logon of DOMAIN\USERNAME from \\WORKSTATION Entered
09/21 14:43:24 [LOGON] SamLogon: Network logon of DOMAIN\USERNAME from \\WORKSTATION Returns 0xC000006A
09/21 14:43:24 [LOGON] SamLogon: Network logon of DOMAIN\USERNAME from \\WORKSTATION Entered
09/21 14:43:24 [LOGON] SamLogon: Network logon of DOMAIN\USERNAME from \\WORKSTATION Returns 0xC000006A
09/21 14:43:24 [LOGON] SamLogon: Network logon of DOMAIN\USERNAME from \\WORKSTATION Entered
09/21 14:43:25 [LOGON] SamLogon: Network logon of DOMAIN\USERNAME from \\WORKSTATION Returns 0xC000006A
09/21 14:43:25 [LOGON] SamLogon: Network logon of DOMAIN\USERNAME from \\WORKSTATION Entered
09/21 14:43:25 [LOGON] SamLogon: Network logon of DOMAIN\USERNAME from \\WORKSTATION Returns 0xC0000234

A lot of the users can log in to the network, but not map any network drives. From what it looks like above, the wrong password is being sent numerous times, then the account is locking out. Microsoft gave me an updated DSClient to install on the win98 machines, but I don't think it is making any difference.

Any ideas?
