Does anyone know what computer-specific settings would cause a user to be unable to authenticate to a file server?

I have a user that can log into the domain with her laptop just fine. When she attempts to access our file server, she can view the top-level of shares, but when she clicks into anything, windows hangs and we have to end the explorer process.

When any other user logs into that machine they can access the file shares just fine.

When that user logs into a DIFFERENT machine she can access the file shares just fine also.

So far I have taken the machine off the domain and re-joined it, removed and reinstalled client services, and checked all the permissions and settings on the snap-server. Still no luck... anyone ever see anything like this before?

Sounds like maybe a corrupt user profile on that particular computer, if it is not happening anywhere else. Log on as administrator on the particular computer where the user is having problems. Right-click My Computer >click Properties >click the Advanced tab >click Settings under User Profiles. Select her profile from the list and click Delete. Log off and have her log back on. This will create a new user profile for her. See if the problem still occurs.
