At the login screen I get choices for the Domain to select. The problem is the domain I want is not a selection and it won’t let me type it in. Where is it getting these options from and how do I change it or let it revert back to me typing it in?

Thanks,
Jim

The information is coming from your DC. If the domain you need isn't there, it indicates there's no trust setup with your domain and the one you're attempting to log-on to.

The computer is no longer attached to the old network and is pluggged into the new network. So it must be getting it somewhere from the harddrive right?

Did you join the computer to the new network? Log on locally, move it to a Workgroup, then join it to the new domain.

Can you give me some input on how to move it to the new workgroup?

Log on to the computer with a local admin account and right click on "My Computer" and choose "Properties". Go to the Computer Name tab and select "Change", change it to any workgroup name, thereby removing it from the domain it was joined to. Reboot. Go back and do the same thing except this time join it to the new domain you're connected to.

Just additional information.

Thanks for the help; I think everything is working now.

Following the instructions and guidance from the threads above I was able to join the domain but I’m not able to change the computer name.
I receive an error message that states it was able to join the domain but it used the old computer name.
Any suggestions for getting it to recognize a new computer name? The name I’m trying to use is Manu10. This should be fine for TCP/IP.

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks for the links I'll check them out.
