Has anyone tried to register a NEW domain with Network Solutions? This used to be relatively simple with template forms you send via e-mai. Now it is Web-based. In particular, you used to be able to put in 4 or more name servers for a particular domain, now they seem to be providing only two. Does anyone else see this as a limitation?
Finally, are there now other sources besides Network Solutions?

Hmmm, I'm not sure I follow you. The web interface follows the email template pretty closely. For additional name servers, they go under the Optional information section as additional secondary servers. This hasn't really changed from the old template... it's just automated now.
If we're not speaking about the same section, then let me know and I'll take another look.
I looked at the form today.
You're correct when creating a new domain. But I have not found the same thing when modifying an existing domain.

Hmmm, try the site again. Maybe they had a hiccup when you tried it? I am there on another window right now and it looks okay to me. The Optional information section is there. If you have optional name servers and they're not showing up in the section, then there's a problem with the page. But as for the format coming up... for me it looks fine.
p.s. Just ta let ya know... I liked the email forms better too.

I've found many problems when dealing with Internic. As of 9-11-99 they have started accepting only credit cards as payments for domains in order to prevent people from "cybersquatting" on domains.
There is a back door for this by using the email form. But that will no longer work at 9-30-99. You will then need to use a CC to register domains.
