I want to implement exchange based email system that represent
@ a.com
@ x.a.com
@ y.a.com
@k.y.a.com
Is it possible to register a single domain name (a.com)and implement this system. And also need to know whether this is possible with single exchange server.

if you don't register the other domain names there's no way that a mail server on the internet will be able to find you. Internally however, it's not a problem.

That means when delivering mails it looks for whole part of the domain name (@y.x.a.com) ,not only the a.com . am I correct ?

for example take xxxx@y.x.a.com e mail address.
Will the sending mail server look only for the a.com and send it to the destination ? and recieving server take action based on other parts of the domain name ?

yes, your first assumption is correct, they are separate and distinct domains and are treated as such by resolvers.
