domain name hosting company

hi all,
i'm starting to migrate and administer a domain/web/exchange services for a new customer. however the customer doesn't know who maintains their actual DNS domain name. how would i go about finding out who hosts a particular domain name?

Use 'whois' like the one on here ..

http://www.dnsstuff.com/.
