odd one this - i think it is zen client related

client pc is xp sp2 no firewall or weird stuff
it is in a 2003 ad domain and has a zen 7 agent
set to show dialogue box
the user also has an nds account and the pwd's sync via identidy manager.

problem is every now and then the domain login box reverts back to the pc name rather than the domain

is there a way this can be hard coded as alway default

make sure DLU is not enabled on any of your policies.

if they have a domain, there just isn;t any point for DLU

that was my first thought
and there is definatley no dlu

from what i can see if the dialog box is diplayed then randomly it drops and goes back to pc name but if i suppress the zen dialogue box then it seems ok
now the pwd sync driver etc seems ok i can suppress the box anyway - just need to find out how i can get a vbs script from a gpo to modify the permissions of the reg - although i think i may be able to do it via a software install gpo ?

i did find the registry key to hard code it as it has appeared on a few ms forums for general pc's
but to be truthful i have never seen it before
