Domain login over VPN

I have two sites, HQ & branch office, with a Windows 2003 server in the HQ. There is a working hardware VPN between both sites.
There are three PCs in the branch office and I want them to log on to the HQ domain controller over the VPN connection.
Is it just a matter of creating machine accounts & user accounts for the branch office PCs & users?

All XP clients. Server is Windows Server 2003 R2

HQ: 192.168.5.x
Branch: 192.168.1.x
