Domain Login box missing

Windows 2000 pro always presented a box for the DOMAIN name.

User name: xxxxxxx
Password : xxxxxxx

Now it is not presented anymore.
Before I had a choice of logging into the PDC server or Windows 2000 (same faulty machine).
I also cannot change the name of the computer and now I cannot change from workgroup to domain.

Why don't you try clicking on "options" at the login prompt. From there you can select the domain to logon.

As for your second complaint, right click on "My Computer" on your desktop. Select "Properties", then select the "Network Identification" tab. Next click on th "Properties" button. From there you can change the name of your computer and the workgroup/domain.
