I have a problem with Domain Local Security Groups and Domain Distribution Groups. I can create new groups and add users successfully. I can then add the groups to folders and grant specific rights to the folders. However, I cannot access any resources within those folders when logged on as a member of one of those groups.
I can add the users individually and successfully access the resource.
Single W2K domain, Exchange 2K, 3 DCs, 2 GCs, 2 DNS, 2 DHCP.
I also have been trying to add the distribution groups to Exchange Calendar sharing within Outlook. But when I add a dist. group as having access to a shared caendar and grant any type of permission, I get "Calendar Folder is not available." So this is why I am posting in this group, thinking this is now a W2K problem, not Exchange problem.
So I have been hunting down the cause and have now discovered that any new groups I create cause the problem described in the first paragraph. Existing groups and users seem to be unaffected. But new groups do not seem to function correctly.
Soon ready to throw in the towel and make a call to M$.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thx
