domain in xp

my dad has a laptop that he uses for work and at home. at work he is on a "domain" to access the network. at home however he cannot access our network. he can get online but he cannot transfer files and such.

is there anyway around this. i thought about having two installations. is this the only way?

was i clear enough in my explination?

You could use the netsh.exe utility to create easy to use batch files:
