I have an unusual issue in which machines running Windows NT 4 occasionally won't show the Domain drop-down list afer a <ctrl> <alt> <del> at startup. In other words, it is as though the machine is suddenly not the member of a domain and the logon box only asks for username and password. After a reboot the list re-appears! Any ideas? He who chooses his own path requires no map.

If you check in the event logs, are any errors being reported during start-up.....????

No there aren't! He who chooses his own path requires no map.

Before doing a reboot, I would log in locally and just go to a command prompt and do an ipconfig /all to see if you are getting an IP Address and maybe even release/renew the IP Address assuming you use DHCP?

Also, I know you said you checked Event Viewer, but check again. Before rebooting, login locally and check the System and Application logs in Event Viewer and see if there are any network related messages recorded.
