Domain Connected Via VPN

Hi

I have a muiltisite domain which is connected via vpn connections.

We used to be configured as a workgroup which worked with no issues. However because of our application we changed over to a domain

I have issues with the servers not being able to connect to the domain on reboot. It takes some 20 minutes before they are able to log in to the domain and access the network resources.

The servers are all running dns, should I install wins as well?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Can you offer a few more details on network topology? Where is the VPN connection handled (server, firewall, etc)? Where are your Domain Controllers placed? Which servers can't access the domain on reboot (certain servers or any server..)

It can be the name resolution issue. Quoted from
