Can't figure out where to enter domain info in XP to join WIN2K domain. I am not getting login screen until I try to access network resource.

Thanks,

In control panels (I switched to Classic View to find this) go to system, or right click My Computer and click on Properties. Second Tab is Computer Name. You will see two buttons: Network ID and Change. The Network ID is a wizard, the other one lets you control it a bit more manually.

Good Luck.

This screen only lets me enter a workgroup name. Has no place for domain name. I have entered domain name in the workgroup field as well since I use this as workgroup name also. This still doesn't prompt for network login at boot.

Check service and be sure NetLogin Service is started and set to automatic. Reboot if changes made. ----

Are you using XP Home or XP Pro? XP Home is a stripped down version lacking domain security features. XP Pro is just like it's predecessors 2000 and NT.
