Does anyone know the procedure on this?
Is it as simple as changing the Network Addressing page on the MSS?
Is there any work to do on the MAS?
I'm waiting for Avaya to answer these questions for me,but I want to get this done ASAP.
Thanks All

victor;

not only would you need to change the details in the Network Adressing area, but also in the MAS host info setup, as well as joining the MSS to the Windows domain.

These points are covered in chapters 3 and 5 of the MSS MAS install manual.

i have previously changed the CORP IP addresses, but never the domain name. I would wait and see if others have ever done so before, as i have heard of some registry setting that may need altering too if you do this, or the whole thing may fall in a heap.

thanks.

That's what I was afraid of.
Avaya has been no help to me on this.I e-mailed 3 contacts that I have there and opened a ticket and have heard nothing from anyone almost 6 hours later.
Thanks a lot for the feedback.
It's really time to explore a 3rd party Voice Mail solution.
Mod messaging is NOT the answer.

If you are talking about the Corporate domain, then it is the change you refer to on the MSS. If you are talking about the private domain that is built with the MAS as the domain controller, then there is more work to do. You would have to rebuild the MAS (there are tools to rename the domain, but it is probably easier in the long run to rebuild). You may also think about upgrading to release 3.1 so that you could move the MSS and MAS into your Corporate domain (assuming that your aren't already at 3.1). If you are talking about renaming the Voice Mail Domain, then you have to start from scratch.
