Hello. I need help getting started with an application that should authenticate users via an inhouse domain controller.

The asp-application should run on a Windows 2003 that somehow needs to inherit the user-accounts from the DC... or if it is possible to configure this from VS in webconfig? ... Any suggestions for how to do this? Do I have to use Active Directory? Any sample projects?

Very greateful for any kind of help

Thanks. I think I get the part about how a user is authenticated locally in a Windows environment. The problem is how I get credentials from a different domain... but then again, I just might have to read MSDN more carefully...
