I support a few hundered dialup Win2K clients using Nortel Extranet Access Client V3.70 to access our NT Domain. My question is regarding domain authentication. It seems that the authentication success rate is about 70%. When it fails the clients receive a Netlogon error message because the Domain Controller can't be contacted but I'm still able to successfully ping the PDC and map to network drives from the computer. We've configured the clients Lmhosts file to preload our PDC and 1 DNS server but would it help our success rate to go a step further and preload all our BDCs and other DNS servers? Or is 70% as good as it gets considering the low connection speeds we're dealing with?
