Hi,

I've win2k domain and all users are in this domain. I've another 2003 server machine setup up in "WorkGroup" and a shared folder. How do I set it up so that all users in domain can see this shared folder on a computer that do not belong to this domain but just in workgroup.

Thanks,

Kevin

as long as you have NetBT running then people should be able to see the workgroup "WORKGROUP" in the list of My Network Places -> Entire Network otherwise you should be able to path to it via \\servername. Are you requiring authentication for users to access this share? I'm curious as to why you wouldn't join this machine to the domain?

I hate all Uppercase... I don't want my groups to seem angry at me all the time! =)

Unclerico,

I can see this machine under workgroup, but when I tried to connect to it, it is required user name and password, how do I set it up so that people can connect this computer without user name and password and connect to the shared folder on this computer. The reason I did not join this to the domain is because it is at a remote location, only a few people from this remote location need to get to the shared folder. if DC goes down at least people can still get to the folder under workgroup.

Thanks,

Kevin
