We moved to BES express for our phones, which due to an issue with special groups, including the Domain Administrator account, this was removed from my domain account. I am the sql admin. Now, I am no longer a sys-admin or a member of the builtin\admin group in sql. I can't do half of what I used to do as I depended on the use of windows authentication.

Is there anything specifically with the Domain Administrator Group that I can create in AD to grant myself back as a sys-admin in SQL?

Do you know the sql 'sa' account password. If you login that way you will have sysadmin rights.

Log in to each SQL server as 'sa' and explicitly create a SQL login for your AD account. Grant that login sa rights.
