I want to do an automatic discovery. I used Campus Manager to discover my network. It worked, all the devices came up green. When I went to ANI setup and tried to do a device discovery to essentials, all the devices came up "not responding" in the import status window. Is there something I need to configure to get this to work?

What does the Not Responding Details dialog say when you select a device and Show Details? Is it a name resolution failure?

No, it is saying that it is not responding. So then I try to do a mangament station to device test. Everything fails except for telnet. What is weird is when I do the management station to device test, the default community strings it tries to use are not the ones I used in the ANI SNMP setup. Even when I change it to the correct string it still fails all the tests except for telnet.

I am learning to use Works myself, so I am guessing here as to what the problem might be. From my basic testing, if the SNMP string is incorrect, the device will just show up as having a device attribute error, not as "Not Responding".

Is your device accepting SNMP queries? Is it possible that there is an access list set so that the device isn't responding to SNMP queries from the CW server?

Can you do an SNMPwalk on the router?

If you already solved it, I'm curious what the problem was.
