Does Vertas Backup Exec for Win NT include virus protection?

Does Veritas Backup Exec for Windows NT include a virus protection tool and how does it work? Been getting viruses that are not detected.

It dosen't include a virus protection tool, but it can check for viri before it backs up files if you have a tool installed.
