Does UMS sync voicemails with Blackberry devices?

Hi all, I am just trying to confirm that UMS will sync voicemail messages to a Blackberry and when deleted on the Blackberry they will be deleted from the users voicemail box in the office. Is this possible? I know it will send to handheld devices, but does it sync with the users mailbox in the office?

UMS adds IMAP to Voicemail Pro. We have tested it with iPhone, Windows Mobile and Blackberry and it works just fine. Because you are communicating directly with the VM server when you read/delete a message you are actually doing so on the server itself so there is no need to "sync".

I have had people tell me that if you are using a BES server you can not add a seperate email account, such as IMAP, so that would mean you would not be able to use UMS access if you are using BES.

If a user is using UMS will outbound SMTP email notification still work for that user ? So in essence, both features are working at the same time ?

UMS and SMTP?? Is that just to try confuse the users!!!

I know you weren't allowed to run VM>email and IMs together so I suppose UMs would be the same.

You could run IMS and VM to email together. You havent made it clear if you ear using BES. If you are then no, at least not to my knowledge. For me, we don't use BES . I set up a rule to FW to my blackberry email. works great. As of right now, I don't see anyway to do it with BES other than some type of rule.

I think there may be email connectors out in the world to sync the IMAP VM Server to Exchange. Not sure how well it owuld work though.

If it did work, all mail would be back in one m/b.
