Does TS use 1494? 1

Does anybody know what port Terninal Server 4 uses for its terminal services? Is it 1494 like Citrix?

I need to configure a firewall at a site where TS is run without Citrix.

Yes, and UDP port 1604 for incoming traffic.

No. Only if you use the Citrix ICA client to connect to a Terminal Server will port 1494 be utilized. Terminal Services client by default uses tcp port 3389. I've included a couple of links below confirming this.

What do you mean before FR1? Does Citrix use a different port after FR1 is applied?

Well, starting with FR1, you can put everything through port 80. A lot of peolpe didn't like the security risks of opening 1604 UDP on a firewall.
