Hi, I have a set of speakers with a standard 3.5mm plug, and I use them with my PC currently, but I'm getting a new monitor and will be able to use my GameCube with this monitor so I want to use my speakers also. So I need some sort of simple adapter preferably with a switch that will allow me to plug the speaker 3.5mm plug into the adapter and then plug the adapter's plugs into the PC and GameCube outputs.

Does such a thing exist - and I mean a cheap adapter not a complicated switch box?

Thanks.

Yes... Go to your local audio dealer they should have them or be able to tell you where to get them...

Well I don't really have a local dealer being at a Uni, and none of the people who work in HMV or Dixons would know what I'm talking about. I really don't think this exists online, but I found an alternative which is fairly cheap:

2 audio stereo phono leads, I'm sure I can find a couple lying around at home (since we use RGB Scart or VGA for everything).

Should work, but I'm wondering if quality is degraded by using a switch box like this, especially since they are analogue cables (I've seen manual DVI Switches that work fine, but they're digital)?

Yeah cos originally I thought the adapter type in the topic title would mean the least amount of cables needed, but then I realised that with the cables I already have, I only need a phono splitter. Thanks for the effort of finding that though :)

Originally I was looking for that kind of thing, but in reverse (2 jacks and 1 socket), but it doesn't matter now anyway. :)
