Good morning everyone,

You guys make this a great site! Question for you:

Does the NTRB21ac TDMI card have an internal CSU or is an external CSU required for a basic telco PRI connection?

I know Aspect DTIMs have one built in, but that's a horse of a different color.

I was furnished a TDMI package including a NTAK20 daughtboard (which is good) but no external CSU. Person who purchased the equipment thinks it is like a DTI MBM for a BCM apparently. I think otherwise and am trying to confirm so we have a stable connection.

Job is to install a TDMI for PRI to a CS1000M (Opt11c mini) with 4.5 DSN. (Yes, I am on base.)

I have searched an don't see CSU functionality built-in this card on in the Circuit Card Reference. There are also several notes about external CSUs in the IDSN PRI I/C guide, but the TDMI is not mentioned. hmmm. I am sure I'm looking in the wrong place.

Any help?

no it does not.. but you only need one if the provider will not connect without a csu due to local tariff. in this area you have to install a csu unless your demark is glass.. we don't use them on this site but 5 miles away i installed a rack full because of the copper demark..
