Does the metadata get copied too?

Hey all,

If an email is dragged out of Outlook into a file folder does the metadata get copied too? I tried it and from what I can see the metadata DOES get copied but I'm not sure if it ALL gets copied.

We are working on an email archiving plan and I'm looking at a Barracuda (I love my spam filter from them) and I think I was asked this as an interim measure. At least I hope it's only being thought of as an interim measure.
