Hi, probaply it's a very basic question, but not for me...
We have a customer who broutght M7208(M-law) and M7324 phones but didn't brought the KSU-SU16.
Well we are in a A-law area, so my question is:
Is it possible to use this phones(M-law) and set the digital trunks to A-law with a BCM50?

Thank you all . I hope you can help me.

As I know it will work with the BCM50, but if these M7208 are too old they wont do it. I remember having some problems with MSeries phones whose Serial Numbers were really old: 040xxxx +something. But if their SN's have a NNTM040 or NNT+something, it's very probable that they will work fine.

Thanks for your answer BC, I'll check the S/N.
Does anyone knows anything about if BCM50 supports or can it be software switched to A-law or U-law phones.
I am in a A-law country, so the digital trunk are A-law but the phones are U-law and I tested this phones with a QSU-SU16 A-law, and of course they give lots of distortion on dial tone, and I guess the old Norstar doesn't allow to change this parameters.

Thank you all.

We made the test, and as you told BC about the S/N is true, the new one's worked well.
Thanks again.
