Does the hot file contains query defination?

Hi all

Does the hot file contains query defination? And can a hotfile be sent from one user to other like snapshot?

Sorry, hotfiles (*.ims) do not contain the query definition, (at least not to my knowledge). That's why it's important to save the report (*.imr) that created it. They can be sent from user 2 user, but usually with a report and catalog that's drawing data from it. Hope that helps.
