Hi, I have been studying for the ccna test and i think im rdy and will be taking it in the next couple of days. I heard from a friend that they recently changed the exam. Can someone that has taken the exam tell me if this is true? He had told me that instead of multiple choice most of the exam is a simulation? is this true? can someone explain to me a ratio of how many are multiple choice and how many are simulation? are there matching questions? or fill in the blanks? how many questions and how long to take it?

Thanks, PAUL

The CCNA exam will be changing again this fall to include:

EIGRP and OSPF (single area)
VLSM/Route Summarization
More WAN technology

Now, I don't know what the cut score would be, but I would hope that with the addition of said material, the cutoff score would be adjusted accordingly.

Paul,

I took the CCNA yesterday for the second time. I had taken it in May 2002 after a week long CISCO ICND class. This time it was a much harder test. They have definitely changed the test. It had a lot of simulations and real life senarios. I think Cisco says it's 60 questions and they give you 90 minutes to complete (used to be less time).

Good luck. I hope you do better than I did after a year of study and taking a 4-credit college-level class for it!

Yesterday I was very down on Cisco, but today I'm thinking, Hey, if I can get the CCNA, it will actually mean something! I'm not quite ready to give up yet.

I feel your pain....i took it last week and failed it. But like what you said If i pass it...it'll mean something. I decided to take a two-week break untill i hit the books again......post if you pass it...good luck

Thanks, PAUL
