We have got Veritas backup exec 9.0
for windows server.

I had installed it basically on one server(2000 server).

I have another windows 2000 server on my network
and i wanted to backup files on that server too.

I have read the documentation and installed the remote
backup agent on that server too.

But somehow when i cannot read that server, like
when i go to the backup selection wizard and
get to that server, i am unable to open up the remote
server.

Everything is installed fine on that remote server(remote agent) and the service is also started there.

It needs some kind of license ??

When i checked my installed license it shows veritas server license only.

How do i get the remote backup agent license ?

do i have to purchase it seperately or is it there by default and i have to install it from somewhere ?

Thanks

You need to purchase a remote agent license, and then install the key on the backup exec server.

Then you will be able to backup the remote server.
You need one license for every remote server you backup, including XP, Win2K, Win2k3.
