Does Oracle 10 support Excel generation?

Hi,

I heard about Excel doctype and that it requires some third party installation. I have got poor privileges on the database, it means I have no UTL_FILES and no access to the server, only Oracle client.

Will I be able to generate Excel files to LOB with standard Oracle packages ? Or is there any third party only-PL/SQL based to read and write into LOBs using excel format ?
