Hi! I am a translator on a Nortel DMS-500. We have a NI-2 PRI connected to a NEC 2000 IPS. The customer occassionally claims that they can't get an outside line, despite the fact that the B channels are showing IDLE in my switch. I've seen the same problem on Nortel Options before, and it was fixed by Turning OFF B-channel Service Messages on both the Switch and the PBX. Unfortunately, I haven't found anyone who can tell me if the NEC 2000 IPS supports B-channel service messages or not, and if so, how to turn them off. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
