does moving files change sime BuiltinDocumentProperties?

Hello,

In windows 7 or 10, when I move files, the "Created Date" and "Last Modified Date" seem to be changed.

Q1: is this always true?
Q2: if the answer to Q1 is Yes, is there a workaround to preserve these properties?

Are you copying or cutting them? If you copied them to another location, then the folder creation and modified date should change but the files shouldnt.

robocopy has an option to preserve timestamps

Neither the "Created Date" nor the "Last Modified Date" that you see in Windows Explorer is a Built-in Document Property - they are Operating System attributes. If the file were a Word document, for example, you'd see that the dates & times returned by the CREATEDATE and SAVEDATE fields would be unchanged - and those are Built-in Document Properties.
