Hi,

Just wondering whether or not somebody could advise me if it is possible to change the configuration of a spare slot from one equipment type to another with ISDX 6.1 software. We wish to change existing spare slots to make them extension slots for future expansion.

We understand that 6.3 supports this by using the RSLT command, but we do not have the command manuals available for 6.1 to confirm the command works on this older version.

Thankyou.

Regards,
Gerry Roach.

6.1 does support flexible slots. However if your analogue extension slots are double slots, i.e codec/extension cards these slots are fixed in software and cannot be revised or added, a reconfig is required. 6 slot trunk group are also fixed in software.

RSLT:
XXYY/PART: Physical address of a slot
TYPE: Equipment type:
ALI - analogue link interface
BASIC - BRAIF
CEC - common equipment card
DLI -
DTI - digital terminal interface
DTU - digital terminal UPN interface
EXTN - Extension interface
iSDT - iSDT interface
MFC - MFC (universal digital signal processor)
OP - operator console interface
SSFP8 - 8-channel multiline/ACD interface
SSFP16 - 16-channel multiline/ACD interface
TK - analogue trunk interface
UTC - trunk controller
VOIP - Realitis Xpress card
N - to de-configure slot (make spare).

To set up revisable slots:

1.Use LSLT command to list the choices available for each slot and the type of card that is currently selected.
2.If the type of card that is currently selected for the slot is incorrect:

a)Use the appropriate commands to deconfigure the card to make all channels must spare and uninstalled. For example, if an Operator Console Interface current occupies the slot, use the UEQ command to uninstall the operator console and then use the DOC command to delete the extension number.

b)Use the RSLT command to change the type of card that is installed in the slot. See the RSLT command for the rules that apply to revising a slot.

c)Use the appropriate commands to configure the card and channels.
