Does Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG support passphrase?

Hello:

I have a Dell laptop with Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG. My Linksys WRT54G security configures as WEP with 128bit encryption. The Linksys generates access keys (1 to 4) from passphrase. When the Dell laptop connects to WRT54G, it asks for password/key. I enter the passphrase, does not work. It is looking for the long key instead. Does Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG support passphrase?
