Does anyone know if the new ext3 file system (comes with Red Hat 7.2) support large file?

Thanks,
STeve

Hi,

My understanding is that ext3 is 'just' ext2 with the addition of journalling. As such, it is also limited to 2gb. There is some info at the redhat beta site --> .

However, there are :

jfs from IBM -->

xfs from sgi -->

and of course reiserfs -->

.

All of these support files > 2gb .
