I don't understand the question. Most mail servers can reseive mail from most other mail servers. Are you asking how to get your mail from your sendmail server?
I need install a mail server in a intranet. Actually i have installed a sendmail server and i want that the client can read the message using explorer. There are mail servers that response in http. I would like to install a web mail server without uninstalling sendmail and linking that web mail server with sendmail to use the sendmail accounts.
Hi Dani,
What OS are you using for your mail server? In general, sendmail is an SMTP (outgoing mail) server. It also receives mail but hands it over to a local mail handler such as `mail' or `procmail' for local delivery then is sent to a directory on the local server. From there you need a pop3 mail server to send the mail to a client when requested. When you set up the client. Use the name of the machine that sendmail is on for the SMTP and POP servers. I can't get much more specific than that with out knowing at least what operating system you are using for you mail server. Sorry.
If I understand what you want, you want a web based email server. I am using adje web based email. Go to adjeweb.com. If you don't mind the advertisements, its free. It works great, and I have about 500 people using it on my sendmail server running off of RedHat Linux 7.0.
