Hi,

SQL server 2000
Full recovery mode
Backup log every hour

This is a theorical question

Suppose I detach/attach a BD, and 2 days after, I want to retore the database from 1 week ago and applied all trx-log backup until today.

Because I detach/attach DB 2 days ago, is the LSN still in sequence ? Does detach/attach DB can break the LSN ?

Thank you

Yes detach/attach breaks the LSN chain.
