I'm getting some strange problems in using Crystal Report 8.5 in Windows 2003. I'm not sure whether Windows 2003 is supported or not.

Thank you for any info.

Since it wasn't released when CR 8.5 was, they won't state that it's tested on it, rather they'll suggest that you purchase a nice shiney new box of CR 10 (Mmmmmmmmm, preeeeeetty).

Consider posting specifics rather than "strange problems", as those are well known advanced feature sets in Crystal ;)

Thank you for the reply.

I'm using Visual Foxpro 8 as the front-end, SQL Server 7/2000 as the back-end, and Crystal Report 8.5. Data is retreived through one of my SQL Server Stored Procedures.

If running my application on the Windows 2003 Server, I will get OLE error code 0x8007000e: Not enough storage is available to complete this operation. I have traced this to the line .PrintingStatus.NumberOfPages. However, if running my application (still the one in the Windows 2003 server) on another machine by mapping drive, there will be no error.

Thank you for any help.

We were getting some intermittent errors similar to yours,
stating "not enough memory" when trying to export or go to the last page of large reports in the viewer.

We installed service pack 2 for 8.5, and the problem cleared up.

There is a technical paper about troubleshooting memory problems at

Hope this helps!
