If I have a report that runs in Enterprise and one of the tables changed (added field or change size) would the Crystal Enterprise validate that for me?
I know I have to do this manually in Crystal by opening the report and selecting Validate Database.

No enterprise will run the object "as is" until you update the RPT file on the Dekstop-tool, and re-save to Enterprise.

Thank MJRBIM,

We don't have Enterprise but I thought if the enterprise will do that then it worth exploring. For now I have to open (find) every report and verify the database to get it read the new updates.

Is there a work around this?

There's a third-party tool called RPT-Inspector that might do what you are looking for.

I looked at it a few years ago - but we didn't go ahead with a purchase.
