Hello,
I have integrated my NEC IPX2400 Release 15 with our other site which has a Cisco UCM 6.1 using QSIG trunks. All basic calls and extended features work, except MWI. We are trying to migrate all user from the NEC to the Unity VM hosted by the Cisco UCM. We are able to leave a meesage for the NEC phones and NEC users can hit their corresponding mailbox, but when a message is left for an NEC user there is no MWI light. The light does come ON for the Cisco users.

Has anyone successfully passed QSIG-MWI messages across between NEC IPX2400 and Cisco UCM

Thanks
AntBan

No it will not work unless you QSIG directly between the NEC and the Cisco Unity, the MWI packet will not work unless you do a direct integration link. I have the IPX and Cisco Unity and have tried this, after dealing with Cisco and another vendor they recommended not to try this, they will not integrate well. Keep the 2 system connected to there own voicemail platforms.
