Does CF MX7 and HTML 5 play nicely together????

Hi,
I am just getting into HTML 5 with its new features.

I plan on redesigning a couple of sites based on using CF MX7 and HTML 5 principles.

Question is - do they play nicely together?

I know I'm behind on my CF version by a couple, but my company is not quite ready to shell out more cash on another application server software when I current meets our needs.

I've also looked for articles comparing/contrasting the two, but haven't found much yet.
