Here's the situation: We are upgrading our server capacity so I'm in charge of restoring the data onto the new server. Problem is, when I did the backup, I did the server as one big job. I'd like to run 2 jobs at the same time since my tape library has two drives, thereby cutting the time in half. When I start the restore for the first half of data it runs right away, when I start the restore for the second half of data, it sits in the queue.
Is there a way to make BE run two jobs simultaneously from the same media set?

Any help is appreciated as I have about 6 hours until it's too late.

Thanks!

When you create the backup job you should be able to tell it which DRIVE to use, along with which media pool to use.

You'll need to create a second job. The original one is running and can only be queued. You can't run one job twice at the same time.

Create the second job by copying the first one and when you set the media pool, you can also set which drive to use.

Ignore my last post...I misread your question.

You can only restore the job the way it was backed up. Since you backed it up as one job, that's the way it has to be restored. It deals with the Media Label and the information stored there.

that's what I thought, thanks man.
