Does Anyone use Microsoft Sourcesafe with Cognos Products

We are some way into a Cognos development project that is now coming into the usual issues of version control and progression of source through Dev - UAT - Prod. We use a number of cognos products which include: Decisionstream, Transformer, Impromptu, IWR, Powerplay, PPES and are currently looking at Reportnet.
I was hoping that there is experience out there with the use of sourcesafe with Cognos products and whether there is any documentation as to 'best practice' usage.
Any help would be appreciated.

ReportNet has a built in capability to use SourceSafe as a repository for the metadata models. Documentation is available with the product.
