Does anyone know of a way to find out if another website or webpage is linking to your website? I mean, if some other person is linking one of my webpages to their site, is there a way to find out which website is doinG that??

go to altavista.com and in the search query box type:

link:yourcompany.com

where yourcompany.com is your website address. This should show you all webpages that have links to your site.

Hi, i did that, and i get one website but that site is a web host company, and there's no mention of a link back to my site...
do you know of a software that also can do that?? or another method??

when you typed it in did you include the

http://www.

If so, that is all that is linked to your website. Here is an example for you. go to altavista and type in

link:

http://www.site-blauvelt.com

you will see at least two pages of firms/organizations that are linked including search engines/directories.

I'm not sure of software that does it.
